Cecilie Manz’s Caravaggio pendant for Fritz Hansen instantly achieved design icon status when it launched in 2005, setting a new standard in modern lighting design thanks to its simple, elegant and recognisable shape.
Fritz Hansen now updates the popular design in four new colours with a matte finish: Warm Grey, Dusty Green, Patina Green and Rusty Red bring modern and muted Scandinavian sensibilities to the P1, P2 and P3 pendants, beautifully contrasting the design’s original high-gloss finish. Enhancing the unique character of the Caravaggio, the muted, earthy tones offer a connection to nature, historical charm and the ability to create both serene and dynamic spaces that prioritise well-being.
Warm Grey is a soft neutral with undertones of beige for an inviting alternative to cooler shades of grey. Its ability to pair with a wide range of colours makes it a versatile choice in both residential and hospitality spaces, allowing other design elements to stand out.
Dusty Green evokes a sense of tranquillity. Connecting to nature, the soft shade has an understated sophistication that makes it particularly suited to spaces like bedrooms and living areas.
Patina Green adds character, contrast and a sense of history to spaces, reflecting the natural aging of copper with its rich verdant hue.
Rusty Red is a bold, rich colour with brown undertones for warmth and depth. Reminiscent of oxidised metal it emphasises the beauty found in age, and makes a striking focal point suspended alone or in groups above café counters, tables or in a corner.
The four new colours feature the same cord and suspension fittings as the Grey25 Caravaggio.
