More than forty years after its inception, Heimtextil today has an excellent standing as the leading global trade fair for home and contract textiles. Last year, more than 2,700 exhibitors and close to 67,000 visitors attended the event.

As the industry’s most international event Heimtextil, held at the Messe Frankfurt fairgrounds from the second Wednesday in January to the following Saturday, is the key barometer of the industry’s spirit.

However, market conditions are changing as are visitors’ requirements regarding the exhibitors. For many visitors including, but not limited to, retailers, Saturday is an important day for sales and is used by many to delimit stationary commerce from e-commerce. On Saturdays, most people have time for shopping and for intensive consultation. In addition, according to surveys our visitors, especially those from abroad, prefer travelling to and from Frankfurt during the week.
