A relative of the Pinn chair, where the outermost back pin fuses organically with the shape of the chair by Nirvan Richter – Norrgavel

Norrgavel’s classic Pinn chair has been in the range since 2010. Even then, there was the idea of supplementing with an armchair, the only question was how. The road from idea to reality became long – but now it is finally here!

Pinn armchair
A relative of the Pinn chair, where the outermost back pin fuses organically with the shape of the chair by turning off and in itself switching to armrests with the help of a finger joint. Still with the Pinn chair’s light elegance and balanced strength, but with more generous dimensions. Genuine carpentry in solid oak or birch.

“Historically, you can find beautiful and fantastically comfortable Windsor chairs of the comb-back type, where the frame continues around the entire back of the chair with all the backrests pierced. But more stripped-down chairs – such as Norrgavels – often only have a short frame attached to the outer backrest. , which does not feel completely convincing. I wanted the frame to blend more organically with the shape of the chair and was happy when the idea came to let the outermost backrest swing off and in itself turn into armrests. This happened in 2016, so the path from idea to reality became long…”
