DEGREE by Cecilie Manz is available in three different finishes; painted light grey, painted white, and veneered Oregon Pine.

Painted – light grey
DEGREE Painted comes in a matte, light grey color and consists of painted MDF in color code RAL7044 with gloss 20. Panels are painted consistently around the front, back, edges and handles, so you achieve a completely uniform finish around all surfaces.
Painted – white
The DEGREE painted white consists of painted MDF in color code RAL9003. Panels are painted consistently around the front, back, edges and handles, so you achieve a completely uniform finish around all surfaces.

Veneer – Oregon Pine
DEGREE Oregon Pine consists of veneered Oregon Pine – a natural material which is characterised by a light, red-brownish wood color with fine and narrow wood grain. The grain is placed diagonally approximately at a 45 degree angle on both front and backside. Natural materials may vary slightly in color and grains.
Edges consist of solid wood in Oregon Pine with straight grains.
Fronts in veneered Oregon Pine is finished off with a matte lacquer, a protective treatment which makes the surface easier to clean and and more wear resistant. We use real Oregon Pine which will patina over time changing the color of the wood into a more warm reddish-brown color.
Handle
The DEGREE handle consist of solid wood in Oregon pine. It is milled into the corner of the front forming a triangle. Grains are placed in a 45 degree angle and grains will in most cases follow the same direction as grains on the front. However, some handle placements may differ from this.
The handle is centered on tall cabinet fronts, such as Pax fronts or pantry cabinets . You will have a visible division line on the front, creating a split where the handle is placed which means that the handle will be mirrored symmetrically.
Cover panels, inserts and plinths
Cover panels and inserts are produced in the same finish as the fronts, either painted light grey, painted white or veneered Oregon Pine. Plinths will be in painted light grey or white for the front finishes.
Countertop
The designer, Cecilie Manz, recommends four different countertops for her DEGREE design. The first is a 5 mm or 8 mm solid stainless steel countertop in a floating look. The floating look is made possible from a shadowed panel placed approximately 20 mm from the countertop edge underneath the surface. The panel is produced on a 6 mm black MDF and will not be visible when the countertop is mounted. The complete thickness of the countertop incl. the panel is 11 mm.
The remaining three countertops are all in Fenix NTM in either grey in color 0718 Grigio Londra with white laminate on the backside, black in color 0720 Nero Ingo with black laminate on the backside; and both with edges matching the front color. The fourth and last countertop is light grey in color 0725 Grigio Efeso with white laminate on the back, but with edges in wood; Oregon Pine.

Cecilie Manz
After graduation from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – The School of Design in 1997, Cecilie Manz founded her own studio in Copenhagen in 1998. Here, Cecilie Manz designs furniture, glass, lamps and related products, mainly for the home. Cecilie Manz is the recipient of several grants, e.g. the Thorvald Bindesbøll Medal 2011, Kunstpreis Berlin 2008, The Danish Crown Prince Couples Cultural Award 2014, and latest MAISON&OBJET PARIS chose to celebrate the talent of the designer with the award; Designer of The Year 2018.
The kitchen is for cooking, eating and entertaining. A natural gathering place. Cecilie Manz has designed a kitchen based on simple principles; balancing functionality and a hospitable atmosphere. The steel countertop is a practical and raw expression that is balanced with warm shades of the cabinet fronts; the golden Oregon Pine, rich painted grey, and the natural white. The wood grain of the Oregon Pine is laid at a 45 degree angle, softly contrasting with the horizontal and vertical lines of the kitchen. The geometric notch handle is placed in the corner of each front and adds a graphic element to the kitchen. The simple details and honest materials create a classic but modern look. A comfortable backdrop for everyday life.
