Sven-Harry’s Art Museum is excited to present one of the most productive and innovative designers of his generation in Sweden. Alexander Lervik (b. 1972) works in a style that can be described as playful, elastic, and unusually imaginative. How about 3D printable chairs or telecommunicating light fixtures?

“Art—the best art—has the ability to infect and engage us,” says Lervik. “It can spill over and lead to new, previously unimaginable ideas. It creates new creative living spaces around us. It really is like that for me. Sometimes I even wonder if there’s really any distinction between art and design—except that design has a function. For my exhibition Imagination x 12, I’m presenting twelve pieces of furniture and everyday objects. I describe them here based on my great love for art.”
