Anna von Schewen Wrapup Lounge Chair

Anna von Schewen Wrapup Lounge Chair for Articles – Space-Efficient Swivel Seating

Swedish designer Anna von Schewen has designed Wrapup, a lounge chair for Swedish furniture company Articles.

The chair is mounted on a swivel base and developed with a compact footprint, making it suited to reception areas, hotel rooms and lounge environments where space efficiency matters alongside comfort and appearance.

Von Schewen describes the design as equally at home in a hotel room as in a waiting or reception area — a chair that crosses the boundary between hospitality and residential use without belonging exclusively to either. The form is upholstered and self-contained, the swivel base allowing orientation to be adjusted without moving the chair.

Wrapup was presented in 2017. Articles is a Stockholm-based furniture company whose collection has since been incorporated into the Fogia brand, following the two companies’ merger.

Anna von Schewen founded her studio in Stockholm in 1997 following graduation from Konstfack. Her work spans furniture, product design, interior architecture and exhibition design. Previous collaborations include Gärsnäs, String, Fogia, Svenskt Tenn, De Padova and Zanotta. She received the Bruno Mathsson Prize in 2003.

Wrapup is made in collaboration with industrial designer Björn Dahlström.
