For several years, together with Mono Light, we have developed a lighting concept where we have been able to create a method to give architects or customers the opportunity to color the fixtures freely based on the RAL classic colors.
This is to facilitate color choices in projects or concepts where technical lighting is used. Since we have the raw extruded material in stock we can then very easily paint and assemble it in a very short time. Since we chose to work with extrusion which was an idea from me right from the start to be able to create a unique relief on the exterior of the luminaire series.
I used the inspiration for my love of snowboarding, where you usually refer freshly groomed snow to corduroy. And experimented with that concept to give the product its own identity and a beautiful pattern, hence the name Corduroy.
