Mats Theselius (b. In Stockholm, 1956), educated at the Konstfack in Stockholm 1979-84 is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed designers, whose design icons have gained a classic status. His extensive production spans from numerous sculptural armchairs to items such as the National Geographic cabinet, Hermits Cabin and the Kelim floor tiles.

Mats Theselius – Urban Cowboy at Artipelag’s Artbox presents Theselius’ extensive collections that function both as an inspiration and as a reference to his design process. In this way, the exhibition offers a unique insight into Theselius’ artistic practice.
