Today @ 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, June 12th-14th, Orrefors will present a selection of brand defining design collaborations including product series by Andreas Engesvik, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Monica Förster, LAYER & Benjamin Hubert and Lena Bergström at Frederiksgade 1.
Midsummer is an award-winning (Red Dot ‘Best of the Best’) new series of seven mini vases designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. The collection pays tribute to the most appreciated Swedish holiday and the tale of picking seven kinds of flowers to be placed under your pillow on Midsummer’s Eve, in an attempt to reveal your true love.
Geometry, a highly anticipated table top series, will be previewed in Copenhagen. The perfectly weighted blend of minimalism, precision and elegance provides an unmistakable Orrefors identity mastered by Swedish architect and designer trio Claesson Koivisto Rune. The intriguing geometric shapes and confident stature combine to deliver an iconic timeless design that captures both past and future.
Reed, by award-winning Swedish designer Monica Förster for Orrefors, is a product series inspired by the shapes and expressions of nature and a tribute to Scandinavian form and design. Reed’s minimalistic elegant expression is a perfect representation of Monica Förster’s design and Orrefors’ quality craftsmanship. First introduced in 2023, the product was a Red Dot winner in its first season, and has now been extended to include a set of new votives and a hurricane lamp.
The Magica votive series is the result of a first design collaboration between Orrefors and Norwegian designer Andreas Engesvik. Taking its name and inspiration from the laterna magica, the new stunning collection connects old and new strains of Scandinavian design – including the super ellipse and super circle – in a captivating expression using shading and textured glass to provide ambient light diffraction and patterns.
Carat by Lena Bergström is one of Orrefors’ most celebrated product collections worldwide. Breaking with the traditional ideals of cut glass, Bergström instead focuses on a contemporary expression where chaos and order meet, enhancing each other in a burst of refracted light. The striking series presents a wide range of products including vases, candlesticks, votives, bowls, coaster and tableware.
Ensemble by renowned British designer Benjamin Huber and LAYER is a Red Dot awarded multi-purpose product series that excels as both vases and decorative containers. The collection comprises three individual plinths featuring a vertical pattern to support the top dishes. When grouped together the collection appears as a series of plateaus that evoke an architectural landscape.
