Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard are the curators for Danish Crafts’ upcoming MINDCRAFT exhibition, which is presented in Milan during Fuori Salone on 9–14 April 2013.
Salto & Sigsgaard have worked as a team since 2005, and their work includes designs for leading manufacturers such as Lightyears, Nemo Cassina and Onecollection.
Salto & Sigsgaard are former MINDCRAFT participants. They took part in MINDCRAFT with the pendant lamp ‘Wet Bell’ in 2009 and with the wall-mounted lamp ‘Yellow Fin’ in 2010. ‘Wet Bell’ was put into production by the Italian firm Nemo Cassina after it was spotted at the MINDCRAFT09 exhibition in Zona Tortona.
Danish Crafts works with varying curators, and as curators of MINDCRAFT13 Salto & Sigsgaard will be setting the team for the sixth MINDCRAFT exhibition in Milan. In 2008-2010, MINDCRAFT was curated by architect Karen Kjærgaard, while designer Cecilie Manz was the curator in 2011 and 2012.
