THE CLASSIC REIMAGINED: LAMINO IN PINE AND SHEEPSKIN
In 2025, Swedese celebrates its 80th anniversary.
To commemorate this milestone, we’re releasing an exclusive, limited edition of Lamino featuring quintessentially Swedish materials.
“Let’s get started and see how it goes,” said Yngve Ekström when he founded Swedese with his brother Jerker in 1945.
80 years later, Swedese continues to create sophisticated simplicity in the same Småland factory where the Ekström brothers moved in the 1950s, always focusing on sustainability and quality.
For our 80th anniversary, we’re releasing a limited edition of Yngve Ekström’s masterpiece, Lamino, crafted from the most Swedish materials imaginable: pine wood from Dalarna and sheepskin from Swedish free-range sheep.
For the first time, pine is pressed and bent into the iconic curve that Yngve spent years perfecting. The seat is upholstered in soft sheepskin. The result is a beloved classic featuring beautiful contrasts between the dark sheepskin and light, white-pigmented pine.

We hold great respect for Yngve Ekström and his ideas. Most importantly, we strive to preserve his curiosity about the world, culture, and future. This is the legacy we wish to carry forward, allowing us to have 80 years of experience while maintaining a youthful mindset.
The Lamino Anniversary Edition launches on January 2, 2025. We will produce 80 pieces, sold exclusively as sets including both chair and footstool.
