Background

We started more than 20 years ago with a clear and heartfelt vision: to help enhance spaces where people can truly focus, collaborate, and feel well. The journey began in a small basement in Örebro, Sweden, where Jenny Helldén and Marie Lindqvist-Pahlstad brought their bold idea to life. Though neither had run a company or even designed a piece of furniture before, they shared the idea of creating environments where professionals and students could focus, collaborate, and thrive.

Design philosophy

That vision hasn’t changed. Still today, we reduce noise and visual distractions in workplaces and learning environments, boosting both comfort and productivity. We’re dedicated to people’s well-being.

Note Design Studio: the defining collaboration

Note Design Studio has designed the majority of Zilenzio’s Focus family, spanning the Focus Table, the Focus Floor screen, the Dezibel Ceiling Absorber and the Focus Pod Easy Chair, most recently expanded into the Focus Spaces modular sofa system in 2025.

White Arkitekter

White Arkitekter designed the Hikari pendant, combining lighting with sound absorption, in 2024, and returned the following year to expand the series with the Hikari Wall.

Recent work

Zilenzio’s newest release, the Giro acoustic room divider, launched in November 2025 — built for connection as much as separation, reflecting the same balance between calm and collaboration the company started with more than two decades ago.
