Superwave: Wave-Shaped Luminaire by Notchi Architects for Oblure

Swedish lighting brand Oblure has introduced Superwave, a wave-shaped pendant luminaire designed by Gothenburg-based Notchi Architects.

The fixture combines architectural form with functional lighting performance, offering both uplight and downlight through a geometry of wave-shaped slats with multi-directional glare control.

Superwave is developed with commercial interiors in mind. The luminaire is available in custom colours without quantity minimums, allowing it to integrate with specific architectural contexts. All components are replaceable and relacquerable, and the fixture supports DALI dimming for building automation compatibility.

The chassis and light engine are designed to separate for straightforward installation and long-term maintenance. Oblure describes the approach as “Super High Comfort” — a focus on visual comfort alongside adaptability and durability.

Superwave was introduced in 2024.
