Arcata Lounge Collection by Anderssen & Voll for Davis: Mid-Century Modern Meets Nordic Design

Arcata
Arcata is a sculptural lounge collection by Anderssen & Voll that reinterprets mid-century modern American design through a Nordic lens. With its curved, enveloping silhouette and exposed wood base, Arcata strikes a balance between softness and structure — offering both visual warmth and inviting comfort. Available as a single-seat lounge chair or a three-seat sofa, each piece is crafted with tailored upholstery, multi-density foam, and a solid wood frame in oak or walnut. Designed for modern office, hospitality, or residential settings, Arcata brings refined character and quiet sophistication to any interior.

Anderssen & Voll
Anderssen + Voll originally met and established a lasting friendship through their shared love of creativity. After graduating from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design and the Oslo National Academy of Art, they cofounded the design group Norway Says in 2000. Norway Says was a forerunner in a growing international orientation amongst Norwegian designers, drawing international interest to Norway’s emerging young design scene.

As a result of their success, Anderssen & Voll was formally established in 2009. Their work spans furniture, lighting, home accessories, textile design and interior design for some of Europe’s most renowned international brands.
