Swedish lighting brand Blond, together with furniture and houseware brand Hem and acoustic products brand Baux, present Design Starts on Paper — a collective exhibition opening at 3 Days of Design 2026 in Copenhagen.

The exhibition runs 10–12 June at Paper Island (Papirøen 5, 1436 Copenhagen) and brings together perspectives from architecture, interiors, automotive culture and contemporary Scandinavian design.

It is framed as a response to the expanding role of artificial intelligence in the creative process, foregrounding intuition and the physical act of drawing as the origin point of design — before software, rendering, or optimisation.

Special guests include Aarke, Porsche and The New Era Magazine. The exhibition is curated by MBSY™ Lab & Studio Christina.

Paper Island — once a closed-off harbor warehouse district where paper rolls were stored for the Danish press industry — has been undergoing transformation into a mixed-use waterfront neighborhood. The new urban fabric, designed by architect Dan Stubbergaard and COBE, draws on the site’s industrial history through brick facades, sloping roofs and publicly oriented ground floors.

Design does not start with data.
