The Danish design brand expands its multifunctional Plan Collection, created in collaboration with the British design duo Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. For several decades, Barber Osgerby has developed prominent objects for leading design companies. The welcoming design, which combines exceptional craftsmanship and industrial details, now includes the Plan Armchair and Plan Arm Barstool.
Since its launch in 2022, the Plan Collection has quickly gained popularity in both private homes and interior design projects worldwide since its launch in 2022. Its minimal footprint and generous comfort resonate with a broad audience. The vision behind the collection is to create innovative, elegant, and durable pieces. With the introduction of Barstool, Column Table, and High Table in 2023, followed by the new comfortable Plan Armchair and Plan Arm Barstool, the collection solidifies its reputation for elegant multifunctionality across homes, offices, hotels, and restaurants.
The Plan Armchair and Plan Arm Barstool feature a casual armrest ideal for meeting spaces and dining areas. Its design plays with forms, curves, and shapes, providing just the right amount of armrest for added comfort. The chairs are fully upholstered with a frame in Black, Brushed steel, Bordeaux and Modernist Green. All chairs in the collection are available in specific EU Ecolabel-certified variants.

Crafted for a circular economy
The Plan Collection is designed for a circular economy, passing L2 and BIFMA strength tests and earning certifications such as FSC and EU Ecolabel. Although the furniture is robust, every component in the collection is designed for disassembly after use and easy future repair, such as changing upholstery.
The Plan Armchair, Plan Chair, and Plan Barstool are all available fully upholstered without the use of glue. Among the wide range of upholstery options, Fredericia offers Kvadrat’s Steelcut Quartet as well as traceable, environmentally certified, and organic leather from European hides. Additionally, the independent EU Ecolabel certification guarantees a verified low environmental impact and ensures high environmental standards throughout the chair’s entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction through production and distribution to disposal.
