Comprising three vases in varying heights and tealight candle holders, the designs draw inspiration from the free-flowing forms of folded paper.
Crafted in mirror-polished stainless steel, their sweeping shapes wrap into sculptural silhouettes of different heights and proportions, creating a collection with a singular expression.
Each piece is designed to stand alone or complement the others. Arranged together, the collection unfolds into a landscape of varying heights and forms, while the mirror-polished surfaces create an interplay of colour and light, reflecting flowers, greenery and candlelight.
The collection lends itself naturally to moments of hosting. From a single vase on a side table to a composition unfolding across the dining table, the pieces create a sculptural setting while their varying heights are designed to encourage conversation across the table.
To introduce the collection and its inspiration, Fold is portrayed at The Paper Foundation in the UK’s Lake District. Located in the village of Burneside, where papermaking has been part of local life since the 18th century, the foundation was established by sixth-generation papermaker Mark Cropper to preserve the age-old craft of making paper entirely by hand. Here, the Fold collection and its mirror-polished finish are juxtaposed with the raw surroundings of the working mill, from freshly made sheets of hanging paper to the workshop’s tactile, industrial setting.
The Fold vases and candle holders are part of a first release thatwill see the collection build over time, enriched with pieces for everyday living.
