GLASSWORKS by Superfront is a limited-edition collection of handles crafted from reclaimed, hand-cast architectural glass.
Subtle variations in colour, texture and surface tell the story of the glass’s previous life, now reshaped into contemporary design objects.
The reclaimed glass used in GLASSWORKS originates from Lindshammars Glasbruk, one of Sweden’s most renowned glassworks.
During the mid-20th century, this architectural glass was widely used in post-war modernist buildings, produced as thick, hand-cast glass blocks.
Each block has been carefully reworked into unique handles produced in a limited edition. By reusing existing material, the glass is given a new purpose — objects designed to endure over time, both in expression and quality.

About Lindshammars Glasbruk
Lindshammars Glasbruk has been part of Sweden’s glass heritage since 1905. During the mid-20th century, the glassworks became known for its expressive use of colour and hand-cast architectural glass. This material can still be found in iconic Swedish landmarks such as Uppenbarelsekyrkan — often described as the Nordic region’s first glass cathedral — and the glass prisms of Kristallvertikalaccent at Sergels torg in Stockholm. Today, fragments of this architectural glass live on through GLASSWORKS.
