A sculptural lighting concept reimagined for the wall, fulfilling the designer’s vision
Originally conceived in 1972, the Multi-Lite Collection has long stood as a symbol of Louis Weisdorf’s inventive spirit, embodying his belief that lighting should be adaptable, interactive, and personal.
Now, GUBI brings a new chapter to the story with the Multi-Lite Wall Lamp – a design Weisdorf envisioned before the end of his career.

A living design, now on the wall
Faithfully developed from his original sketch, the wallmounted edition expands the Multi-Lite family into new territory. It translates Weisdorf’s signature aesthetic and user-controlled adaptability into a sculptural wall format, fulfilling a concept that had remained unrealized in his lifetime. Through this realization, GUBI honors the legacy of one of Denmark’s most imaginative lighting designers.
Extended movement and expressive freedom
Building on the collection’s defining features, the Multi-Lite Wall Lamp introduces a new wall-mounted swing arm, adding a further level of flexibility. The outer arm that connects the lamp to the wall can rotate up to 180 degrees, allowing the entire lamp body to swing into new positions. This motion enables the lamp to be positioned so that the shade assembly either hangs from above or rests on the arm, tailoring the light direction and spatial emphasis with a sculptural sweep.
The inner ring – housing the twin shades – can be rotated 90 degrees, as in the Multi-Lite Pendant, presenting a new profile when viewed from the front. This feature transforms the lamp’s silhouette from a wide, horizontal form to a taller, vertical posture, altering not only its aesthetics but also the character of the light it casts.
These axes of movement unlock more configurations than ever before, making the wall lamp not just a functional lighting tool but an evolving sculptural element. As with every edition in the Multi-Lite Collection, the shades can also be manually rotated and locked using a discreet
blade mechanism, allowing for upward, downward, or asymmetrical light direction.
Lighting that evolves with you
Mounted beside a bed, by a reading chair, or flanking a mirror in a hallway, the Multi-Lite Wall Lamp offers function and beauty in equal measure. Its layered adjustability encourages continual reinvention, adapting to shifting atmospheres and needs throughout the day. In hospitality settings such as hotel corridors, lounge areas, and guest rooms, it becomes both a luminous accent and a spatial tool – equally decorative and directional. Designed to be lived with – and changed – the Multi-Lite Wall Lamp brings sculptural elegance and intelligent versatility to any interior.
