Nearly 125 years ago, architect P.V. Jensen-Klint created the first pleated lampshade in brown cartridge paper. It was designed for a stoneware kerosene lamp, which he also personally crafted. This marked the beginning of a family hobby within the enterprising Klint family, which nearly 40 years later led to the founding of the lighting company Le Klint.
Since 1943, the classic paper shades have been a cornerstone of Le Klinf s design and production. The love for paper as a lampshade material remains unchanged, and Le Klint continue to merge classic aesthetics with innovation through new types of paper and lamp designs.
Now, Le Klint are introducing the iconic shades from the 1-series – Model 1-19 and 1-30 – in the new colors Buttermilk and Moss Green. At the same time, they are launching the new Model 334 series, consisting of a table and floor lamp with a sleek black lacquered frame. These lamps can be paired with the new paper shades, the classic white paper shade, or the well-known white foil shade.
