Wave-Inspired Pendant Lighting Made in Sweden

Swedish lighting manufacturer ZERO introduces SWELL, a pendant lighting collection designed by Jens Fager, launching during Stockholm Design Days 2026.

The series debuts February 2-6 at ZERO’s showroom on Södermalmsallén 36, Stockholm.

The SWELL collection takes its name from the movement of light waves, reflected in the pendant’s distinctive flowing surface. Fager’s design creates a clear, soft, and graphic character through wave-inspired forms that control light distribution.

Available in large and small pendant versions, SWELL uses careful light source positioning to create screened illumination, ensuring visual comfort without direct glare. A key requirement from ZERO was achieving an exceptionally competitive price point within the lighting category, which the collection delivers while maintaining design quality.

The wave-inspired surface treatment creates SWELL’s primary visual identifier, interacting with ambient and emitted light to produce varied appearances. Two pendant sizes address different spatial requirements—large versions for spaces requiring significant light output, small pendants for intimate settings or clustered installations.

Production takes place entirely in Sweden. Jens Fager brings extensive experience in industrial design, with work spanning furniture, lighting, and product design for Scandinavian manufacturers.
