Window Behaviorology — A Japanese perspective on the meaning of windows in daily life

We look out through them every day – but how often do we really look at them?
Window Behaviorology places the window at the center of our attention, exploring how this architectural element shapes the way we live, perceive light, and connect to our surroundings.

The exhibition is based on the internationally recognized book series WindowScape, created by architect and professor Yoshiharu Tsukamoto. The series documents remarkable and atmospheric windows from across the globe – and through The Nordic Window, it reveals how light and weather define the unique relationship between windows, homes, and everyday life in Northern Europe.

Appealing to anyone with an interest in architecture, design, or aesthetics, Window Behaviorology offers visitors a renewed appreciation of one of the most essential features of any home – the window.
