Height-Adjustable Lift Side Table
Simon Legald designed Lift Side Table for Normann Copenhagen with height-adjustable functionality operated through a button on the tabletop.
Pressing the button elevates the table, while applied pressure lowers it.
The lightweight construction adapts for placement beside sofas, beds, or as temporary work stations. The base features curved support extending into a sculptural foundation. Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2012, developing designs that dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. His design philosophy emphasizes honesty and simplicity, highlighting structural necessities rather than concealing them. The table combines functional, psychological, and aesthetic requirements through its adaptable height mechanism and distinctive base construction.
