The Element of Space
During 3daysofdesign 2025, MØBEL Copenhagen created an extraordinary exhibition that challenged the boundaries of traditional interior design.
In collaboration with creative director Anders Sølvsten Thomsen, “The Element of Space” was born – an installation that transformed rooms into pure sensory experiences.
Six Monochromatic Worlds
The exhibition consisted of six completely enclosed rooms, each dedicated to a single color. Visitors stepped into monochromatic universes where furniture, materials, scent, and texture merged into bold, sculptural statements. Each room was carefully curated to amplify the sensory experience and create powerful emotional responses.
The black room – bold, seductive, and mysterious
Citrus yellow – electric, energetic, and alive
Soft pink – familiar and nostalgic
Deep green – bringing nature’s calm indoors
Beige – surprising through unexpected materials and elements
Raw Beauty as Backdrop
Before entering the world of color, visitors were greeted by the industrial beauty of an underground parking garage. The brutalist environment’s strong architectural elements and natural light set the tone for the experience – a space where possibilities unfold.
A World of Possibilities
The exhibition demonstrated MØBEL Copenhagen’s philosophy of not dictating interior styles, but instead offering a framework for architects, designers, and dreamers to imagine what is possible. Each piece of furniture can be customized with almost limitless possibilities in material, finish, and color.
“The Element of Space” was an invitation to feel design in a new way – unfiltered and powerful, where rooms transformed from functional surfaces into emotional landscapes.
