Floating Wall Lamp in Brass
Moon is a wall lamp in solid brushed brass, designed by Michel Bussien and Peter Nilsson for Örsjö Belysning.
The lamp’s defining quality is its light distribution: the tight, uncluttered silhouette of the fixture creates a situation where light falls both in front of and behind the lamp, producing the impression of a floating luminant.
The reflection between the brass surface and the emitted light is part of the design — not incidental, but central to how the piece reads in a room.
The construction is as reduced as possible. A clear light source is suspended within the brass body, and the interplay between the spread of light and the material of the fixture is what gives Moon its character. The lamp is IP44 rated, meaning it is approved for use in bathrooms — though its quality makes it equally suited to hallways, bedrooms, and other interior spaces where a singular, well-placed wall light is wanted.
Available in two sizes:
- Small: H 360 mm / W 90 mm / D 70 mm
- Large: H 560 mm / W 90 mm / D 70 mm
Light source: dimmable LED (S14d), included.
Michel Bussien studied at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and works as an artist and designer across public and private projects. Peter Nilsson works as an architectural lighting designer, primarily creating project-specific installations. Together they designed Moon as their contribution to Örsjö’s collection — a piece that brings architectural lighting sensibility to a product context.
