Oslo Design Fair 2023 – Norway’s Trade Platform for Interior and Design
Oslo Design Fair is Norway’s largest purchasing fair for design and interior, held twice each year at NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm, approximately 20 minutes from central Oslo.
The fair was established in 2015 as a rebranding of the earlier Gift & Interior Fair, and is organised by NOVA Spektrum AS (Norges Varemesse).
The 2023 editions maintained the fair’s established format: a January opening and an August edition, each running for three days. The fair attracts over 10,000 visitors per edition — buyers, designers, architects, journalists and retailers from Norway and abroad. The audience profile makes it an effective business platform, with short distances between product presentations and purchasing decisions.
An associated event, Oslo Contract & Furniture Fair (OCFF), runs concurrently and focuses specifically on the project market: manufacturers, interior architects, project dealers and specifiers. Together, the two fairs serve a broad cross-section of the Norwegian design and interior industry.
The fair’s programme includes pop-up shops, seminars and lectures by industry experts covering trends, colour and interior direction. Exhibitors present furniture, lighting, home accessories, textiles, decorative objects and related products. Norwegian brands are well represented alongside Danish, Swedish and Finnish manufacturers, reflecting the fair’s position as a meeting point across the Nordic
region.
Oslo Design Fair’s location at the NOVA Spektrum facility in Lillestrøm offers direct access by airport train (12 minutes from Oslo Airport) and extensive parking, making it accessible for international visitors.
