o4i Design Studio is a Stockholm-based design partnership founded in 2005 by Henrik Kjellberg and Jon Lindström, who met while studying at Konstfack in 1996. The studio’s name — “office for ideas” — reflects its approach: “we have a multidisciplinary approach to product design based on modern industrial parameters in the context of responsible mass production,” driven, they say, by “a curiosity for new technology, behaviours, materials and processes.”
Their longest-running collaboration is with Blå Station, for whom they designed the Dent chair — since expanded into a full family including Dent Office, Dent Wood Chair, Dent Dressed, Dent barstool, Dent Lounge and Dent Wood Bar. For Finnish manufacturer Martela, they have designed the Pod family of workplace furniture, including PodWork, PodWork Xpress, Podseat & Podsofa, PodBooth Meeting and the space-dividing Diagonal sofa.
More recently, o4i designed the Zesty chair for Plycollection and the Ramo table series for Lundbergs Möbler, expanded in 2025 with two new base options — designed, they say, for “an airy, strong and elegant look with great care and attention to the details.” Their client list also includes IKEA, Gärsnäs, Fritz Hansen and Götessons.
