The winners of Ung Svensk Form 2026 point out the direction of contemporary Swedish craft, design, and architecture

Through material-driven, spatial, and investigative projects, they engage with questions of resources, production, and how we live together.

On February 3, the exhibition opens at ArkDes in Stockholm.

Since its inception in 1998, Ung Svensk Form has been Sweden’s leading award and exhibition for young craftspeople, designers, and architects. The selection offers a collective portrait of a generation that moves effortlessly between disciplines and scales, using form both to address concrete societal challenges and to explore new ways of thinking about how we produce, build, and live.

In this year’s selection, deep material knowledge and craftsmanship meet digital methods, industrial processes, and exploratory approaches. Several projects take their point of departure in questions of resources, sustainability, and circularity, while others focus on the body, ageing, identity, and care. Together, the contributions point toward a design practice that not only seeks to solve given problems, but also formulates new ones.

The selection was made by a jury consisting of Anton Alvarez, Moa Romanova, Daniel Rybakken, Ulrika Knagenhielm-Karlsson, Hampus Berggren, and Jenny Nordberg.

– Ung Svensk Form offers a unique insight into what is happening in craft, design, and architecture today. This year’s winners highlight the societal issues currently on the agenda—from resources and circularity to care, the body, and our shared environments. These are projects that both frame problems and point the way forward, says Axel Swanstein, Head of PR & Strategic Development at Svensk Form.

Svensk Form, grundad 1845, är en ideell medlemsförening och Sveriges riksorganisation för form och design.
