Paimio Sanatorium’s Summer 2025 exhibition programme invites visitors to pause and experience beauty through design, art, and atmosphere.
Two distinct yet complementary exhibitions — Time and Beauty and Flicker by Linda Linko — open up perspectives on time, memory, and the traces left by life lived.
Time and Beauty
Until – August 31, 2025
Time and Beauty sales exhibition brings together timeless Artek 2nd Cycle design pieces and works by contemporary Finnish artists. The furniture — chairs, stools, tables — has served across generations. Their visible wear is not damage, but beauty made visible by time.
The curated artworks are inspired by nature, stillness, and the cycles of life. Created from natural materials such as wood, ceramics, and paper, the works resonate gently with the furniture forms around them. Together, they create a spatial conversation where design and art meet and overlap.
The exhibition features works by Arni Aromaa, Merja Castrén, Anna-Kaisa Haanaho, Hanna van Ingen, Aura Kajas, Linda Linko, Leena Mäki-Patola, Laura Pehkonen, and Tuuli Somma.
Linda Linko: Flicker
Until – August 31, 2025
In Flicker, visual artist Linda Linko presents a series of paintings that explore sensitivity, impermanence, and the incomplete. The works span several years but share a connection through landscape-like composition and form. Familiar themes are reimagined through Linko’s distinctively free visual language.
The exhibition space itself holds special meaning. Linko’s grandmother was a patient at Paimio Sanatorium in the late 1940s. Now, her granddaughter’s works quietly inhabit the same space — layering new memories onto old ones.
Exhibition hours
Open through August 31, 2025
August: Wed–Sun 10:00–17:00
