The most important weeks for Scandinavian design
Summer Design Week takes place in Stockholm from 17 to 23 August 2020, organised by Stockholm Design Week in connection with Formex — the largest interiors trade fair in the Nordics, running concurrently at Stockholmsmässan from 20 to 23 August.
The week brings together the design industry across open showrooms, exhibitions, talks, workshops, and networking events.
Stockholm Design Week describes Summer Design Week as a complement to the main February edition, dedicated specifically to celebrating Nordic interior design during the summer months. Participants include designers, architects, manufacturers, galleries, and design-interested members of the public from Stockholm and internationally.
Stockholm Design Week was launched in 2002 in connection with Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, establishing itself as one of the most important weeks of the year for Scandinavian design. The summer edition broadens the programme to include perspectives from interior design, art, craftsmanship, fashion, and food. Events take place at galleries, exhibition halls, showrooms, museums, and cultural institutions across the city.
