As part of a new collaboration with FDB Furniture, Salto & Sigsgaard has designed a new chair for outdoor use
Thanks to its stainless steel construction, the Teglgaard chair is light weight and easy to move around in the garden, even when stacked.
Its a strong chair with tightly woven cords, that creates a firm and comfortable seat. The stainless steel frame is uncoated – to avoid the worn look that comes when lacquer is damaged by wear and tear.
Moreover, stainless steel ages beautifully, and is very easy to maintain with an ordinary scouring pad and water. The strings dry quickly after a downpour, so all in all a very useful, long lasting and comfortable chair.

Info about the product
The aesthetic and the practical converge in the Teglgaard chair, designed expressly to withstand Denmark’s often whimsical weather. Built of materials chosen for their outstanding strength, durability, and ability to shed water – brushed stainless steel alloy, polyester cord – it is sturdy, stackable, and dries quickly after a summer shower. A single shake or a quick wipe with a cloth, and the chair is ready for use again. And all without scrimping on seating comfort. When summer comes to Denmark, Teglgaard’s modern design fits in everywhere, whether garden or courtyard, laneway or street.

SALTO & SIGSGAARD
Kasper Salto (1967) and Thomas Sigsgaard (1966) have worked together under the name Salto & Sigsgaard since 2003 and has harvested both awards and been represented at leading exhibitions. One of their most significant tasks is that they have designed a new conference chair, as well as tables for the advice hall in the UN – which Finn Juhl otherwise designed and designed furniture for in the early 1950s. Kasper Salto, born in 1967, is a trained carpenter and industrial designer. Thomas Sigsgaard, born in 1966, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and also had a long career behind him before establishing a study with Kasper Salto in 2003.
