The Swedish design brand Aarke is launching the Aarke Coffee System™ – Aarke Coffee Maker, Aarke Coffee Grinder, and Aarke Thermal Jug – a new integrated system designed to simplify the creation of premium filter coffee.
Since its founding in 2013, Aarke has worked with the belief that the most essential everyday products in the home can also be design objects. Quality, design, and functionality are the guiding principles driving product development in water filtration, carbonation, heating, and flavoring tap water. Now, Aarke is expanding and introducing a fully integrated coffee system with a brewer, grinder, and thermal jug.
Aarke presents three separate products that, through innovative features, together form an integrated coffee brewing system, the Aarke Coffee System. The Aarke Coffee Grinder automatically calculates the amount of ground coffee needed based on the amount of water in the tank, and the Aarke Coffee Maker adjusts for a perfect brewing temperature. Brew directly into the Aarke Thermal Jug to keep your coffee warm for longer. While the system works seamlessly together, the products also function perfectly as standalone units.
Carl Ljungh, co-founder and chief designer at Aarke, shares his thoughts on the new product launch: “For us, there are no shortcuts when developing a product with a human-centered approach. A carefully engineered product shouldn’t be complicated to use. It takes countless hours and iterations to create a thought through and high-quality product. The Aarke Coffee System is no exception – it’s intuitive without compromising on elegance or quality.
Jonas Groth, co-founder and chief designer, adds: “With the Aarke Coffee System, we wanted to create a complete solution for coffee lovers who want perfect coffee, every time. The approval from the European Coffee Brewing Centre confirms our commitment to achieving the highest standard in coffee brewing.”
The Coffee Maker brews a full pot in under six minutes and uses a sensor to measure the water level in the tank to maintain an optimal coffee temperature. The blooming function wets the freshly ground coffee at the start of the brewing cycle to bring out the full flavour. The Coffee Grinder grinds the beans based on the user’s preferences, with a grind size span from moka pot to cold brew. Its 64-millimeter flat burrs and constant motor speed ensure perfectly even-sized grounds for ideal flavour extraction. The ionizing, anti-static chute makes grinding mess-free and allows for direct transfer to the filter holder. Dosing is easy – choose the number of cups or connect to the Coffee Maker for automatic measurement.
The insulated Thermal Jug, made of stainless steel, is designed to be used with the Coffee Maker. It doesn’t activate the warming plate and is safe to place directly on any surface. Thanks to its double-wall construction with a vacuum barrier, it will keep the coffee warm for hours, and the top valve automatically closes when the jug is removed from the brewer. Its user-friendly design, with a heat-safe stainless-steel handle and a drip-free spout, makes the Thermal Jug ideal for serving at the table.
The Aarke Coffee Maker and Coffee Grinder will be available for pre-order on October 14th and will officially launch on October 29th on aarke.com and at selected retailers. The Aarke Thermal Jug will be available later this year.
