Tinnef expanding with square coffee and café tables featuring tabletops made from recycled plastic waste – each one unique, just like the spaces they belong in
Gather round in circularity – Tinnef is no ordinary table. It has always been a shapeshifter, designed to evolve with its surroundings and users. The series has grown with round café tables in three different heights, ideal for casual and relaxed gatherings. Each table features a unique tabletop made of recycled plastic waste, carrying on the conscious legacy of designer Charlotte von der Lancken.
Size diam 73cm, height 90cm.
Be square and be there – The Tinnef series by Charlotte von der Lancken features a range of tables, including two square designs. With its clean, geometric silhouette, the square shape lends itself perfectly to versatile placement. Nest it in a corner, let it stand alone, or group it with other Tinnef tables to build dynamic arrangements. The tabletops are made of recycled plastic waste.
Size 45x45cm, height 45cm.
From trash to table
Though Tinnef means rubbish in Yiddish, it’s the opposite of trash. It was designed by Charlotte von der Lancken at CVDLAB as a response to humanity’s excessive use of plastic. The eye-catching series of tabletops – Frosty sprinkles, Meadow green, White marbled, and Black coal – are made of 100% recycled plastic waste like bottles, packages, containers, and appliances, making each table one of a kind. Since Tinnef’s inception, the raw material has changed, and it will continue to do so. Tinnef, just like recycled waste, is a reminder of the fragility of our planet. Regardless of its origin, Tinnef will always be an explosion of mesmerising colours and patterns, transforming your space into a kaleidoscope of visual wonder – a constant metamorphosis, a gorgeous fingerprint, and a conscious footprint.

“In the move towards using fossil-free plastics, we must take care of things that already exist. I have created a new life for plastic waste in the form of a colourful table that still bears the marks of its history as a plastic bottle.”
