UMAGE takes its name from a Danish word meaning “making an effort,” reflecting the care and attention they put into design and its processes every day. Founded in 2008 by Jacob Nannestad Hansen and Søren Ravn Christensen, UMAGE is a B Corp–certified brand that blends Danish design with quality, sustainability, and affordability. Their furniture and lighting combine aesthetics, functionality, and environmental care, with flat–packed collections reducing emissions. Adaptable and versatile, UMAGE products fit homes and public spaces, with replaceable parts, recyclable components, and customisable options that ensure timeless, evolving designs for modern living, made to enrich everyday life.
For this year’s 3daysofdesign, UMAGE presents Spaces That Shape Us. Design shapes the way people live, work, gather, and feel. The spaces around us influence routines, mood, and connection. Some stay over time, shaping experiences, routines, and memories. At UMAGE, thoughtful design begins with understanding how people truly live. From multifunctional furniture to lighting that adapts throughout the day, each collection balances form and function with lasting quality. Rooted in Nordic values and guided by honest sustainability, the designs evolve with the spaces and lives they inhabit. With Spaces That Shape Us, visitors are invited into the world of UMAGE. A story of everyday living, shared moments, and most importantly: design.

Red Dot Design Award 2026
UMAGE is proud to announce that both the Lemon Squeeze Linear pendant and the Heiko dining chair have been honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026. Recognised for their thoughtful balance of form, function and craftsmanship, the two designs reflect UMAGE’s continued commitment to creating timeless pieces that bring beauty and purpose into everyday living.

The Heiko dining chair, designed by Nicola Bonriposi, blends Danish design and Japanese simplicity. As a quiet statement piece, it strikes a perfect balance between form and function. True to its name, meaning ‘balance’ in Japanese, the chair features a sculptural silhouette, where a solid yet subtle form creates a harmony between calm presence and bold expression. Far more than just a piece of furniture, the Heiko chair serves as an object of reflection – an embodiment of thoughtful design and cultural resonance. With its refined aesthetic and grounded presence, it is ideal around the dining table or as an addition to a workspace, bringing a sense of calm clarity to everyday moments.

Designed by Søren Ravn Christensen, Lemon Squeeze Linear carries the signature rippled extruded glass of the Lemon Squeeze collection into a sleek, elongated form. With its soft, even illumination and sculptural presence, the pendant balances nostalgic charm with a contemporary expression, making it a refined lighting piece for modern interiors.
