A unique Design Collaboration – Interesting Times Gang x Ingridsdotter, with Jonas Bohlin

Two generational talents of Swedish creativity and craft.
Two approaches to biophilic design.
One unique product collaboration.

At Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 design studio Interesting Times Gang and design brand Ingridsdotter, producer of Jonas Bohlin’s unique work, will premiere a vision of circular product design to the design world for the first time.

The enigmatic pieces, which will be launched on February 4 2025, are a tale of two interwoven stories. This collaboration is a symbiosis of timeless Scandinavian aesthetic and a more sustainable future, made from circular materials.

Interesting Times Gang and Ingridsdotter, who produces Jonas Bohlin’s designs, will join forces for a combined exhibition at SFF25 as an open invitation to the convergence of these unique, yet interconnected narratives of creativity and craft.

The centrepiece of this collaboration will be two tables, LIV Mahalo and LIV Tundra.

Interesting Times Gang’s Mahalo table-top made by pressing fishing nets from the West coast of Sweden, paired with Jonas Bohlin’s iconic LIV table inspired by his rowing journey from Stockholm to Paris in 1994, traveling along canals, rivers and the open sea. The form of the base embodies a locked floodgate where the water constantly seeps forward.

In contrast the Tundra table-top will be reminiscent of a seaglass shoreline, a reminder that beauty can come out the most unexpected places and materials , in this case discarded take away packaging and yoghurt containers.

Our combined reflection on the world of water, essential for all life on Earth, becomes our common language in this collaboration.

Ingridsdotter will also present a curated selection of standout pieces from the Jonas Bohlin archive celebrating his design legacy, synonymous with the more advanced Scandinavian contemporary design culture and restaurant scene. Among the highlights is the exclusive re-release of the LIV chaise lounge, once a one-of-a-kind creation, returns as part of a limited edition. A defining work that both continues to embody Bohlin´s poetic approach to aesthetics and demonstrates Ingridsdotter’s dedication to using more sustainable materials by going beyond FSC certifications and embracing continuous cover forestry.

Interesting Times Gang will also unveil Memories of Marrakech, an exciting new material and colour-line of the award-winning Kelp Collection, in a vibrant palette of striking colors and made from innovative biomaterials, suited for a wider spectrum of expressive interiors and environments.

Wrapping up an exceptional award season, the original Kelp Chair, crafted from recycled fishing nets, has confirmed its status as a modern classic of sustainable design. Recently winning the German Design Award 2024, Seoul Design Awards 2024, BIG SEE 2024, Good Design 2024 and the Green Good Design Award 2024, NY Design Awards and named a Best of the Year Honouree by Interior Design Magazine, as well as being described by Sight Unseen as “the best circular product we featured to date”.

The design studio will also exhibit their groundbreaking products from ocean biomass including a new table, “Gigas” made from invasive oyster shells and biodegradable polymers.
