NIKARI – The New Home of Poiat Collection SPRING 2025

Founded by two designers, Antti Rouhunkoski and Timo Mikkonen, joined by master cabinet maker, designer, and artist Antrei Hartikainen

We are pleased to announce a new collaboration between Nikari and Poiat, marking the beginning of an exciting partnership. With our agreement, Poiat products will be transferred to Nikari’s ownership starting from April 8, 2025.

Nestled in the picturesque Fiskars village, the homes of Poiat and Nikari reflect their commitment to creativity and community. Fiskars village, known for its unique atmosphere and rich history, has long been a haven for artists and designers. The village’s inspiring environment and close-knit community provide the perfect backdrop for the collaboration, fostering innovation and a shared sense of purpose.

Poiat, renowned for its detailed and sophisticated designs, has always been driven by a passion for creating pieces that blend aesthetic beauty with functional excellence. Founded by two designers, Antti Rouhunkoski and Timo Mikkonen, joined by master cabinet maker, designer, and artist Antrei Hartikainen, Poiat’s journey has been marked by a commitment to craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for the artistry of furniture making.

Nikari, on the other hand, has a rich heritage rooted in sustainable woodworking and a dedication to preserving traditional craftsmanship. Since 1967, through collaborations with masters such as Alvar Aalto, Kaj Franck, Jasper Morrison, Alfredo Häberli, and Cecilie Manz, Nikari has become synonymous with high-quality, handcrafted wooden furniture that respects nature and emphasizes sustainability.

The acquisition of Poiat by Nikari, finalized in spring 2025, is rooted in a long-term friendship, shared vision, and mutual respect for each other’s values and expertise.

The NIKARI X POIAT partnership brings together the best of both worlds to create beautiful, functional, and sustainable pieces that stand the test of time and honor the rich traditions of woodworking and furniture making.
