Swedish manufacturer Mitab has expanded its Basic Collection with Ollie, a barstool designed by Thomas Eriksson.
The new piece combines a slender steel frame with an ergonomic seat, created to serve high-traffic environments including office cafés, restaurants and bars.
Eriksson’s design prioritises utility over ornamentation. The lightweight construction allows easy repositioning while maintaining structural stability.
Ollie is available in multiple heights and finishes, enabling specification across diverse interior contexts.
“Ollie is about the beauty of the everyday object,” says Thomas Eriksson. “It’s designed to be used, moved, and lived with.”
Production takes place at Mitab’s facility in Tranås, using locally sourced materials. The family-owned company, established in the Swedish furniture-making heartland, maintains an emphasis on durability and efficient manufacturing processes.
