Horreds has relaunched the Anne storage system — a modular shelving collection originally designed by Anne Krook in 1993 — as part of the company’s 90th anniversary in 2026.

The updated system retains the precise square geometry that defined the original, now refined with a more contemporary cut and a more material-efficient construction.

The relaunch draws directly from sketches Krook developed in 2013 but never brought to production — drawings that had remained in storage until now.

Anne Storage is built around a single square module that scales across a wide range of configurations: wall-mounted compositions, freestanding installations for reception areas, open display cabinets, and closed bookcases with doors and drawers. The system is designed to integrate naturally into the interior rather than function as a purely utilitarian backdrop — adding clarity and a degree of warmth to contemporary workspaces.

Anne Krook studied industrial design at HDK in Gothenburg. Her work focused consistently on modularity, proportion and longevity. When she completed her degree project at Horreds in the early 1990s, the result became one of the company’s most enduring products — a shelving system that allowed each customer to configure size, colour and function independently.

The 2026 edition introduces new colourways, updated millwork details, and a digital configurator to support customer specification. It is presented as a direct tribute to Krook’s original vision — carried forward without revision of its core logic.
