Nagare, a Japanese word meaning “flow” or “stream,” connotes a state of effortless, focused action.
The design embraces fluidity, allowing form to emerge from the interaction of the material with physical forces rather than through imposed constraints, so that both form and material reveal their natural authenticity.
The Nagare Stool is designed by OEO Studio for Time & Style and crafted in Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
Each piece is meticulously cast as a single form by master artisans whose lineage spans centuries. Having long dedicated their expertise to casting Buddhist statuary and bells for temples and shrines, they bring the same reverence and precision to this work.
