This summer, Louis Poulsen introduces a mini version of the classic PH portable.

The PH 1/1 Portable Lamp is an elegant, cordless lamp in a mini version allowing you to bring exceptional lighting wherever and whenever you need it.

In 2024, Louis Poulsen introduced the PH 2/1 Portable Lamp, the first of Poul Henningsen’s iconic table lamp designs ever to be made in a portable version. And for 2026, a new, size is accompanying the first cordless icon – the PH 1/1 Portable Lamp. A slightly downscaled version of the PH 2/1 Portable Lamp amplifying the versatility of the design, as the smaller proportions makes it even easier to bring exceptional lighting with you, whenever and wherever.

The PH 1/1 Portable Lamp features the smallest shade set of the System PH, the PH 1/1, and is described as a “whole” sized lamp, characterised by its appealing compact semblance. PH’s “whole” sized lamps are designed to be particularly glare-free, and they are therefore ideally placed high in a room where they integrate high-quality lighting with a warm ambience.

The PH 1/1 Portable Lamp is crafted in high-quality materials in a classic combination of opal glass and high-lustre chrome or metallised brass, adding a petite touch of luxury to any space.

The opal glass shades are sandblasted on the underside, and together with the iconic System PH shade structure, invented by Poul Henningsen in 1926, the PH 1/1 Portable Lamp features the characteristic glare-free, softly diffused light of a PH lamp while offering a both three-step and stepless dimming, and a dim-to-warm function, so the light can be easily adjusted to suit any setting.

Approved for outdoor use with an IP44 rating, this versatile newcomer is made to be moved with the glass shades clicking fi rmly into place, making it perfect for long summer evenings on the terrace, for places in the home with no plug socket nearby, or even for holiday getaways.

POUL HENNINGSEN

The highly infl uential Danish architect and cultural critic, Poul Henningsen (1894-1967), has had a huge impact on Danish thinking and design. His legacy as the original master of light is an integrated part of Louis Poulsen’s heritage of creating exceptional light.

Poul Henningsen started practicing traditional functionalist architecture, but over the years his professional interests shifted to primarily focus on lighting, for which he is most famous. He also expanded his fi eld of occupation into areas of writing, becoming a journalist and an author.

His lifelong collaboration with Louis Poulsen began in 1924 and lasted until his passing. To this day, Louis Poulsen still benefi ts from his genius and continues his heritage working to provide exceptional, glare-free light.
