The Ambassad armchair represents a defining moment in Swedish design history, created by Mats Theselius for Källemo in 1999. Originally designed for the new Swedish embassy in Berlin, this iconic piece demonstrates the intersection of diplomatic representation and contemporary Scandinavian design excellence. Crafted with a robust steel frame and meticulously riveted saddle leather, the Ambassad showcases Theselius’s mastery of materials and form. The chair’s recognition as Årets Möbel 2000 by Sköna Hem magazine confirmed its status as a modern classic, cementing its place in Swedish design heritage and international furniture history.
