Andromeda Chandelier by Jonas Bohlin

Andromeda is a chandelier designed by Jonas Bohlin for Örsjö Belysning — a piece that extends the studio’s long and productive collaboration with the Swedish lighting manufacturer

The design is defined by its organic silhouette: ten softly rounded arms that radiate from a central body, each finished by hand.

The form is ambitious in scale and material complexity, requiring the advanced handicraft skills for which Örsjö is known.

Named after the Andromeda galaxy, the chandelier carries an astronomical reference consistent with Jonas Bohlin’s wider practice of naming objects after natural phenomena — from Kvist (twig) to Norrsken (northern lights). Where Kvist is graphic and linear, Andromeda is expansive and soft, exploring a contrasting formal register within the same maker relationship.

Andromeda is designed for residential and high-specification contract interiors where statement lighting is required. It demonstrates Örsjö’s continued investment in high-craft Swedish lighting at the premium end of the market — and Jonas Bohlin’s willingness to push the formal limits of what a chandelier can be.
