Imago is a canopy designed for play, rest and a sense of enclosure, with a particular focus on schools and preschools. The roof provides shade, cooling and shelter from the wind, creating a protected place to spend time outdoors.
The square footprint can be framed by open or slatted sides, while the roof can be slatted or fitted with transparent polycarbonate. The polycarbonate can be printed with patterns, colours or messages, allowing it to become part of the design, play and educational activities.
Imago can stand on its own or be combined in groups, for example in U- or L-shaped configurations, to create spaces within spaces. The orientation of the pitched roof makes it possible to build different rooflines, and the structure can be installed at different heights depending on use.
The frame is made from glulam and is available in natural oiled timber or painted in a range of colours.
