Dandy is a contract chair designed by Alexander Lervik for Swedish manufacturer Johanson Design
The chair’s defining feature is a pair of cut-out corners at the top of the backrest.
These openings create a distinctive graphic silhouette while serving a practical function — forming a natural handle that makes the chair easy to carry and reposition.
The frame is constructed from slender tubular steel, chosen for its refined, linear character rather than the visual mass of a solid-profile alternative.
The seat is built around a woven inner structure, sheathed in fabric or leather, which allows for a thinner, lighter seat profile without compromising comfort. The combination of steel frame and woven seat gives Dandy an understated elegance suited to restaurants, corporate interiors, offices and public spaces.
