Forma Chair by Lysemose & de Gier for TAKT

Copenhagen-based furniture brand TAKT has introduced the Forma Chair, a solid oak dining chair designed by Lysemose & de Gier

Built around the classic composition of four legs, a seat and a backrest, the Forma Chair balances familiarity with considered detail.

A subtly curved seat and gently tensioned backrest give the chair natural ergonomic support, while its clean silhouette keeps it visually restrained. The design is stackable, allowing chairs to be stored compactly when not in use.

The frame is constructed from solid oak and moulded veneer, treated with a natural white-pigmented water-based lacquer. TAKT offers the Forma Chair in four configurations: an unupholstered version and three upholstered options. Upholstery choices include SPOOR Leather — a fully traceable Nordic leather with verified animal welfare data — Leap®, a vegan leather alternative made from 91% USDA-certified biobased apple waste, and Kvadrat Vanir 0243 wool fabric.

Tested to meet recognised contract standards for strength, stability and durability, the Forma Chair is certified with the EU Ecolabel across all upholstered versions. The oak is sourced from FSC®-certified forests, and the design allows for replacement of the seat upholstery and gliders over time. The chair carries a five-year warranty.

“We shaped the Forma Chair in the tension between lightness and solidity — a condensed expression where every line and detail serves a purpose,” said Michael Lysemose.

The Forma Chair is designed in accordance with TAKT’s Eco System Design principles. TAKT is a Danish B Corp brand founded in Copenhagen.
