We are delighted to announce the reintroduction of the GA-1 chair and GA-2 easy chair, designed by Gunnar Asplund in 1931. These models have stood the test of time for nearly a century now and will continue to do so.
Gunnar Asplund’s GA-1 and GA-2 have been relevant for almost a century and are two models we have always cherished and stood behind. The GA-1 chair was both at its inception in 1931 and in 1988 when Källemo obtained the rights from the Asplund family, challenging to produce in anything other than small series. Today, Källemo has solved this challenge with new 3D technology.
The reason why we really wanted and worked to find production solutions for these models is precisely because they are just as relevant today as when they were designed. Relevant based on the concept that guides us in our work and choice of models; that they “can withstand eye wear” as my father Sven Lundh, Källemo’s founder, put it.
