Khodi Feiz has designed a range of meeting accessories for Offecct under the name K-LINE. The concept behind this new venture is to increase the feeling of contentment and care in a meeting place. The style is reminiscent of classic Scandinavian design, and Khodi Feiz feels a great affinity with people such as Alvar Aalto, Paul Kjaerholm and Bruno Mathsson. The materials used are moulded plywood and steel. Offecct is planning to expand the K-LINE family with a couple of products each year. New for 2002 are a trolley, umbrella stand, hat stand and wastepaper basket.
Khodi Feiz, an industrial designer, was born in Iran in 1963. He trained at Syracuse University and grew up in the USA. After graduating, he moved to the Netherlands to work at Philips Design. There he was project leader for Future Home, the range of intelligent products for the home that attracted a great deal of attention. Based in Amsterdam, he works mainly on product and furniture design, together with graphic and strategic design. Khodi Feiz has several design commissions in progress, including stylish desk accessories for Alessi.
