LIGHT SHADOWS Pendant
Timelessness and simplicity are words that describe her glass. Understated yet pitch-perfect, she creates objects she herself appreciates. She seeks to refine and focus, while still retaining a sense of delight and beauty in the object.

In the “Light Shadows” series, Ingegerd Råman plays with light and shadow, something that has fascinated her since childhood. When the bulb is lit, enlarged pattern images are cast on walls and ceilings like a shadow play. The large, generous hand-engraved bulb in “Light Shadows” comes in five different designs – Loop, Swirl, Confetti, Line, and Star. Light Shadows is available as pendant, table, and ceiling lamps, as well as floor lamps in white and black. The series also includes three different cylinder-shaped lamps with hand-engraved patterns and a pure white cylinder where the pattern from the bulb creates the celebrated shadow motif.

Timelessness and simplicity describe Ingegerd Råman’s glass perfectly. With pitch-perfect precision, she creates objects she herself appreciates. She seeks to refine and focus, while still retaining the sense of delight and beauty in the object. “There must be warmth, thought, idea, and poetry behind everything I do – otherwise simplicity can become a trap,” explains Ingegerd Råman.

Ingegerd Råman received her training at Konstfack (University of Arts, Crafts and Design) in Stockholm. During her many successful years as a designer, she has received numerous awards. In 1995, she was appointed professor by the government, and in 1998, she was awarded the Prince Eugen Medal by King Carl XVI Gustaf.
