Nomia design by Bonpart
A frame chair with somewhat pompous shapes that are pressed against the steel frame. Chair and seat in different parts that enable different textile choices.
- Moulded wooded seat and back with base in metal.
- Dressed seaty and back.
- Black metal details.
The talented Austrian design duo Bonpart, has created and will create many interior design classics. David design was one of their first clients and when we were looking for an icon chair, it was an easy choise asking them to be the designers. The idea was to produce a chair with a soft, appealing and comfortable design. A chair to sit in for a long time at a good dinner, an interesting meeting or as a solitary visitor’s chair. With its round slightly pompous shapes that are elegantly pressed against the frame, it becomes a unique and characteristic arm chair. A chair with David design’s DNA, that the seat and back are different parts so they can be assembled separately as desired. David design Nomia becomes a personal interior that is sustainable for the eye, to use and for the environment. In short, a future David design icon.
Bonpart
Bonpart is a Vienna-based furniture and product design studio led by Lukas Gstöttner. The studio has taken part in several national and international exhibitions. In-depth research, project development and prototyping in various materials is done at the own, professionally equipped workshops and in cooperation with a strong, local network of artisans, experienced craftspeople and engineers. Technical feasibility for mass production or handcraft is part of the creative design process and a source of inspiration. The design is routed in history, comments the zeitgeist and always aims towards the future while consciously dissociating from trends and the search for the “new” as a self-sufficient value.
