Collection of versatile cabinets with a minimalistic design
Designed for HAY by Muller Van Severen, the Perforated Cabinet collection is a series of perforated cabinets defined by the designers’ characteristic use of colour, form, and function. The multitude of miniature holes creates a semi-transparent effect that subtly conceals the contents, providing a balance between visibility and privacy. Available as wall-hanging and floor-standing variants, both featuring a magnetic door closure, they are suitable for organizing and storing objects in a visually appealing way. Crafted in powder-coated steel, the cabinets are offered in different sizes and colours, providing a versatile storage solution for a wide range of domestic and public environments.
Muller Van Severen, founded in 2011 by Belgian duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, creates sculptural furniture that blurs the line between art and design. Guided by a passion for architecture and materials, their work has earned numerous awards and collaborations with leading museums worldwide. For HAY, Muller Van Severen has designed the Two-Colour Table, Colour Cabinet, Colour Rack and Hanger, and Perforated Cabinet and the Arcs series.
